The Dutchess County Baseball Hall of Fame, established in 1957, was created to honor athletes from Dutchess County who excelled on the baseball field, as well as those who made significant contributions to the game both on and off the diamond.

Over the years, the Hall of Fame has proudly expanded its impact beyond recognition. Among its most meaningful accomplishments is the establishment of a youth program that provides underprivileged children with the opportunity to attend a professional baseball game each year at Dutchess Stadium. Through these efforts, more than 1,000 children and their chaperones have experienced the joy of the game firsthand.

The Hall of Fame Plaque, listing all inductees—including many athletes honored posthumously—is permanently displayed at the Sports Museum of Dutchess County, located at Carnwath Farms in Wappingers Falls. Today, the Hall of Fame proudly consists of more than 500 athletes, including 125 inducted posthumously, whose legacies continue to inspire future generations.

Our mission is to preserve and strengthen the Dutchess County Baseball Hall of Fame by seeking out and honoring individuals whose contributions to the game—both on and off the field—have left a lasting impact. We are committed to passing down the legacy of players who excelled and made baseball the game of champions in Dutchess County.

Through this work, we strive to show the youth of our county that sportsmanship, fair play, and friendly competition are the timeless principles of the game. Each year, our induction ceremony keeps alive the memories of battles once fought on local diamonds, renews old friendships, and pays tribute to those whose achievements earn them a place in the Dutchess County Baseball Hall of Fame.
