Class of 2025 - Selections

Don Neise

 Don has been the Head Varsity Baseball Coach at Spackenkill High School since 1994. He has compiled 398 victories over his 32 seasons. Don has led Spackenkill to 13 MHAL Division titles,4 MHAL titles, 9 Section IX titles, 3 NYS Southeast Regional titles and 3 New York State Championships in 2005, 2022 and 2024. Don has been selected Coach of the year 3 times by the Poughkeepsie Journal and the NYSSWA and 9 times by the Dutches County Baseball Coaches Association. Don is a physical education teacher and is also the Head Varsity Girls Basketball Coach at Spackenkill.

Gerry Seager

  

Gerry was a 4-year Varsity baseball player for Arlington High School from 1972-1976 where he pitched and played first base. He posted a winning record all four years and led the Admirals to a Mid-Hudson conference league title his senior year with a 9-0 record. Gerry’s ERA that season was 1.22 with 73 strikeouts. He had multiple no and one hitters with a near perfect game against Spackenkill High School when only one batter reached first base on a passed ball. That year, he was a First team MHC all-star and was voted league MVP by the coaches. 


Following high school, Gerry played Division 1 baseball for Fairleigh Dickenson University on a full tuition scholarship. While there, he was in the starting pitching rotation all 4 years, amassing a winning record. Each year, he was named Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference pitcher of the week several times each season following multiple 1 and 2 hit games. He had a collegiate ERA of 2.44. The summer of 1977, Gerry was recruited to play for the Falmouth Commodores in the Cape Cod Baseball League, and during the summers of 1978 and 1979, he pitched for the New Jersey Pilots in the Atlantic Coast Baseball League where he had a winning record and his cumulative ERA was 1.93. 


Gerry continues to enjoy baseball. He has built an enclosed hitting cage as well as baseball and softball pitching mounds at his home. There, he spends countless hours working with and instructing his grandchildren as well as neighboring children. He was inducted into the Arlington High School Hall of Fame in 2023.

Steve Aurigemma

  Steve “Bo” Aurigemma attended and played his high school ball at Marlboro High School and his college ball at Florida Atlantic University. He played summer league ball in the Cape Cod League of the south, the Orange League. Out of college, he was a non-roster invitee to spring training with the Baltimore Orioles in both 1999 and 2000. In 2012 he signed to play independent league ball with in the Pecos League and ended his professional aspirations with a workout with the Rockland Boulders.

After his time playing professional ball, Bo continued playing ball between the Hudson Valley MSBL (formerly Dutchess County MSBL, Mariners)  and the Hudson Valley NABA (2008-present) with the Mariners, Cardinals, Indians and still playing with the NABA Premiere Champion Cubs with a combined career .457 average, 68 home-runs, 739 RBI and 1.122 career OPS in more than 1,900 at-bats. He was inducted into the Dutchess County/Hudson Valley MSBL Hall of Fame in 2017.

Carl Sitler

  

Carl grew up playing Wappingers Little League from the age of 9-15 being a District Champion and Big League All Star 16-18 including playing the Big League World Series and part of the first US team to ever beat Taiwan. 2-year varsity starter at Ketcham, all league. As a senior was selected co-MVP of the league. Held Ketcham records for doubles, triples, home runs and total bases. 

Was a four-year starter at Georgia Tech and part of three ACC Championship teams. Selected 2nd team all-ACC tournament honors as a sophomore and first team as a senior. Senior Bat Award as a senior give to the best hitter in the ACC tournament.  

Frank Cimorelli

  

Frank played in the Hyde Park Little League, was a Moose All Star twice and was the starting catcher on the team that played in the state championship game as an 11 year old. He played at FDR HS where he was the starting SS for 3 seasons earning All Conference, All Section and Poughkeepsie Journal 1st team. 

Frank started his college career at DCC where he earned Region XV MVP as a SS/P in 1988. In 1989 Frank set the Dominican College record for saves in a season with 12 and was an NAIA All American and had his number 28 was retired. In 1988 Frank played for the Poughkeepsie Lasers where he threw a no hitter in a first round playoff game vs Beacon. He was also a member of the Northern Dutchess team that beat Southern Dutchess for the first time in years.

Frank was drafted in 1989 after his junior season starting his professional career in Johnson City,TN and was a starting pitcher his first 3 years. In 1991, while in Springfield,IL he led the Midwest League in starts with 29 and was second in innings pitched with 192. In 1992, he was switched to the bullpen and set the All Time Midwest League record for games pitched in a season with 65. He gave up one run in his first outing and didn’t give up another run until after the All Star break. Frank spent 2 months in AA Little Rock, AR before being moved up to AAA Louisville. In his first 30 innings in AAA, Frank only surrendered one run. In April of 1994 Frank made his major league debut with the St Louis Cardinals against the Houston Astros. In July he recorded his first major league save against the Colorado Rockies. Franks manager in St Louis was Joe Torre.

Jeff Seager

  

Jeff Seager played baseball at Arlington High School from 1975-77. He played second base under coach Ralf Lembo. He was all county and captain his senior year. He was privileged to play with his older brother Gerry and against elite players such as Rick Horton and Tim Cole. Jeff also played for the Poughkeepsie Lasers in the Hudson Valley Rookie league while in high school for two years and again after his collegiate career until 1985 when he and his wife, Jody, moved to North Carolina. During those years, he was a player as well as a co- manager with Poughkeepsie High School standout Mike Murphy.

Although Jeff was not drafted in 1977 (arm injury), he was scouted by several major league teams, including ironically the Texas Rangers which is the current team for his youngest son Corey. He attended Fairleigh Dickinson University along with his brother Gerry. He played third base and made 2 all-star teams while receiving several conference player awards. In one of the all-star games, Jeff hit a homerun at Yankee stadium which is one of his most personal memorable baseball moment. A wrist injury ended his professional career chances.

Jeff and Jody raised 3 sons; Kyle, Justin, and Corey. All three were extremely privileged to play professional baseball. Jeff and Jody have enjoyed countless times watching and supporting each of their sons. On two very special occasions, Jeff was there not only to support but actually participated. Corey asked Jeff to pitched to him in 2 All-star HR derby events (2016 – San Diego; 2022 – Los Angeles). Both Kyle and Corey have since joined Jeff by also hitting a homerun at Yankee stadium, adding to his special moment. 

Joe Ausanio

  

Joe Ausanio went to Kingston High School and played his college ball at Jacksonville University.  He was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates in the 11th round in the 1988 MLB draft. 

He pitched for the New York Yankees in 1994 and 1995 appearing in 41 games later signing with the Mets and finish in the Colorado Rockies’ Organization. He has been affiliated with the Hudson Valley Renegades since 1998 and has been the Marist University Red Foxes softball coach for the last 17 years leading them to a record 48 wins in 2025 and their best season in program history. He was the named to the NFCA Northeast Region Coaching Staff of the year.

Locally, he played in the Beekman League, Lagrange Dodgers and the Hudson Valley Rookie League for the Kingston Mariners.

A 2-way player that came into close in 4 important games and allowed no runs, 3 hits, 2 walks and 16 strike-outs in 8.1 innings on the mound with a .103 batting average against.

Bryan was a 4-year starter and slashed .375, .474 OBP,  3 doubles, a triple, 11 runs scored and 9 RBI. Bryan had a 1.000 fielding percentage and a 33% caught stealing percentage.  Bryan also went 1-1, with 2 saves on the mound with a 3.44 ERA. He was the  heart of the team as he

He was the  heart of the team as he has a tremendous passion for baseball . He was selected small school player of the year by Dutchess County baseball  coaches association
